Ms. Dani

English Teacher

Miss Dani holds bachelor degrees in English and Communicative Science and Disorders. She is
currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Communicative Science and Disorders at NYU. With
many years of experience teaching English classes both in-person and online, Miss Dani is
passionate about learning and loves sharing this passion with her students.

Mr. Richard

English / History Teacher

Teacher Richard earned his BA in English Language and Linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University in 2000. He has 10+ years teaching experience, taught English , science, history to students of all ages, from preschool to university to mature adult levels. Richard uses humor to promote a joyful and unselfconscious learning atmosphere. He understands that making mistakes and getting stuck are part of the learning process.

Mr. Larry

Speaking/Debate Teacher

Mr. Larry has been teaching Public Speaking and Debate at all levels for 10 years. He has been named Best Teacher and was Director of Education for Gurus Education for three years. He is the owner of I SPEAK California and is the published author of “The Concept of Love.” Mr. Larry’s students have won top prizes in various tournaments. Mr. Larry has been featured in the Tri-City Voice newspaper and has appeared on I Heart Radio and various podcasts.

Ms.Samare

Science/Math/Drama Teacher

Ms. Samare holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and has over a decade of experience as a STEM instructor, coach, and science curriculum developer. With a Site Supervisor/Teacher Permit from West Valley College, she is dedicated to fostering problem-solving skills in her students through open-ended questioning. Passionate about unlocking student potential, she earned her Board Cognitive Specialist Certificate from IBCCES. Currently, she serves as the Ustar Manager/STEM Teacher/Science Olympiad Coach at Ustar Cupertino.

Mr.Caleb

Robotics Teacher

Meet Caleb, an enthusiastic and skilled coach at our robotics lab school, dedicated to teaching and inspiring young minds. With a communication B.A. and a master’s degree in urban planning. He is also pursuing a second master in computer science, Caleb brings a unique mix of technical and communication skills to the classroom. He specializes in Python programming, graphic GIS, and robotics, while also training VEX teams in driving and teamwork. Caleb’s passion for teaching and his ability to engage and excite students make him an exceptional mentor in the world of robotics education.

Math /Coding Teacher

Austin is a seasoned software engineer with 7+years of experience, mostrecently at Meta. He brings awealth of technical expertiseand a deep passion forteaching the next generation ofcoders. Austin holds at Masters in Computer Scienceat Georgia Tech.

Coach Levi

Robotic Teacher

Levi received his master degree from UC Berkeley with a concentration in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. His engineering fields lie in robotic vision and learning, and has completed various software projects based on mobile robots.

Ming Zhao

Ms. Nancy

Chinese Teacher

Miss Nancy brings over 13 years of teaching experience, specializing in early childhood education and Chinese language instruction. As a Lead Teacher,  she has taught engaging Chinese programs to preschoolers aged 3–5 and students from kindergarten to 6th grade, focusing on language fundamentals, sentence construction, and essay writing. She collaborates closely with parents and caregivers to support each child’s growth and development holistically.

Ms. Nas, an enthusiastic and dedicated Art teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Art and ongoing education in Design. With a decade of experience in the field of Interior Design. My passion for teaching is fueled by my love for working with children, fostering creativity, and helping young minds explore the world of art.

Chyld Medford

Minecraft Math Teacher

Chyld Medford is a seasoned STEM educator with over 12 years of experience teaching software engineering, data science, mathematics, robotics, and physics to diverse learners. Mr. Chyld combines academic rigor with practical industry insights. His teaching experience spans from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley to custom-designed curricula for major corporations across various sectors. Chyld’s innovative teaching methods, including coding in Minecraft and robotics challenges, have engaged nearly 1000 students throughout his career. Passionate about nurturing the next generation of innovators, Chyld consistently employs cutting-edge technology and hands-on approaches to create exciting learning environments that foster critical thinking and creativity.

Coach Blake

Tennis Coach

Blake Smith has been passionate about tennis since the age of 4, competing in Northern California and National tournaments through his teenage years. He began coaching in high school, working at a kids’ tennis camp in Palo Alto (2010–2014), and later coached at Mountain View Tennis (2019–2021). Since 2021, he has been a dedicated coach at XYTennis, where he thrives in a supportive community. Blake’s teaching focuses on positivity, simplicity, and fun, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals while maintaining an engaging and challenging environment. He continues to play tournaments, sharpening his skills to provide the best insights for his students. Blake is committed to helping players of all levels improve and enjoy the game.

Mr. Nathaniel

Robotics Teacher

Nathaniel Esquivel is a STEM educator with years of experience teaching mechanical engineering and software engineering to younger students. He uses VEX and LEGO to coach both competitive and recreational robotics teams. Nathaniel continues his passion in college at Mechanical engineery and hopes to use his degree to educate the minds of future engineers.

Mr. Alec

Robotics Teacher

Alec’s background ranges from Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Prototyping, to Technical Instruction and Curriculum Design. He has created car-sized Combat Robots for Comedy Central’s “BattleBots”, fabricated gear for Discovery Channel’s “Prototype This”, and designed test equipment for the Sunpower Corporation and Panasonic. In 2007 Alec changed gears (pun intended), and has since focused entirely on Early Technical Education.

Sai is an experienced designer and builder in robotics, and has been competing for four years. He has many accomplishments in VEX VRC, from winning the state championship to becoming division champion at the world championship. He specializes in the mechanical side of robotics and is skilled at designing, building, and tuning robots. Additionally, he has a deep passion for aerospace engineering and has built many passion projects in this field. Sai is eager to share his skills with the students and help them advance in robotics by learning how to use CAD to design more efficient and competitive robots.
