Tennis With My Brother

I have played tennis many times with my brother, but one time, we had the most fun ever playing tennis. Here’s what made it so fun.

It started out with just me and my dad, just hitting the ball back and forth. We did this for a an hour or so, then until Andymy brothercame and started playing with us. After a while, my dad said we had to go. Andy didn’t want to go leave, so he proposed a game where said that if we failed to hit the ball over the net, we lost one of our a points. Once we lost all ten of our points, we would go home. But, if my dad messed up, it didn’t count.

Around the time we got to eight points, when my brother messed up, I started screaming “YOU MAKE ME WANT TO BARF, BARF, BARF!” when my brother messed up. And when I messed up Andy would do the same thing to me when I messed up. Some time while we were doing that, someone added hand motions. For “you,” we’d point to the other person. We didn’t make a hand motion for “make,” but the one for “me” would be pointing at yourself. For the last hand motion, we grouped “want to barf, barf, barf” together. That motion was just mimicking barfing.

Soon, we got to zero points, and we picked up balls and started the long walk back to our car. When my dad and I got outside of the court, my brother said that there was a ball stuck on top of a board, which was nailed to the fence. We tried to get it off with a stick, but it was too high up, even for my dad. Then, we started begging to go on my dad’s shoulders. When it was still too high, I volunteered to climb the fence. While I climbed the fence, my dad held me up so I wouldn’t fall. When I got to the top, I tried to push it over the edge. That didn’t work, so I picked it up through the fence and dropped it on the court. While my brother went to retrieve it, I started walking back to the car.

On my way back, I spotted a water balloon that wasn’t popped. I threw it back, and it splashed on a wire sticking out of the fence, then ran home. And that’s the end of a fun day of tennis with my brother.

Hi Maggie, great job! I just fixed some sentence structures in your paragraph, and I’m glad you had fun playing tennis with your brother and dad!
