Join the exciting world of science through this hands-on, minds-on Science Olympiad course designed especially for middle school students! Whether you’re new to the competition or looking to sharpen your skills, this course offers an engaging mix of science, engineering, and teamwork challenges.

Students will dive into a variety of STEM topics—including life science, earth science, physics, chemistry, and engineering design—through interactive lessons, fun experiments, and problem-solving activities. They’ll work in teams to build devices, solve mysteries, analyze data, and prepare for actual Science Olympiad events such as Crime Busters, Egg Drop, Roller Coaster, Anatomy, and more.

Circuit Lab Lesson 1:
Properties of electric charges/fields - Sources/hazards of static electricity - Coulomb’s Law

Lesson 2:

- Building circuits • Predict circuit values • Using multimeters and breadboards • Power an LED using a battery - Learn to use circuit components

Ms.Samare

Science STEM Teacher

Ms. Samare has a bachelor’s in chemical Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology and has been a STEM instructor/ coach/science curriculum developer for more than 10 years. Teacher Samare holds a Site Supervisor/ Teacher Permit from West Valley College. She loves to encourage children to be problem solvers and her students take advantage of her open-ended questions curriculums.  Teacher Samare’s passion for leading students to show their full potential encouraged her to get her Board Cognitive Specialist Certificate from IBCCES. She currently is been working as the Ustar Manager/STEM  Teacher/Science Olympiad Coach in Ustar Cupertino.
