This is a tutorial on how to directly notify students through SMS or email. Please use this feature to quickly remind students about their class in the event that you notice he or she is absent.
Step 1: Start on Ustar's main page, and click on "Account".
Step 2: After logging in, you should have access to your welcome page. Click on "Courses".
Step 3: You will be able to view your active courses. Find the course you are looking for and click on "View".
Step 4: Your class roster will appear. In order to contact a specific student, click on "Send".
Step 5: A prewritten message will appear. Please use "SMS" as opposed to email so that the student's parent is immediately notified. Click on "Send SMS".
