Ustar STEM Lab LLC – Lab

Applies To: All instructors, staff, and team members of Ustar STEM Lab LLC
1. Personal Belongings in the Lab
To maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment, staff should not store personal items in the lab.
• The lab is a shared instructional and student workspace — it is not to be used as personal storage.
• Personal items such as backpacks, lunch bags, personal tools, boxes, or other non-work belongings must be kept in designated staff areas or lockers.
• All personal items must be removed from the lab after work each day. No personal
belongings should be left in the lab overnight or long-term.
• Items left in the lab may be removed or relocated without notice to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Ustar STEM Lab is not responsible for personal belongings left in the lab.
A clear and clutter-free lab environment ensures safety, prevents confusion, and maintains a professional image for students and visitors.
2. Use of Lab Equipment
All lab equipment, computers, and materials are the property of Ustar STEM Lab LLC and must be used only for instructional or authorized work purposes.
Lab equipment includes (but is not limited to):
• 3D printers and filament materials
• Laser cutting and engraving machines
• Laptops, tablets, and desktop computers
• Robotics kits (VEX, LEGO, etc.)
• Electronic tools and testing devices
• Soldering stations and hand tools
• Projectors, cameras, and audiovisual devices
Guidelines:
• Do not use lab equipment for personal projects or hobbies.
• Equipment should not be taken off-site without written approval.
• After use, return all tools and materials to their designated places and power off machines properly.
• Handle all equipment responsibly to ensure safety and longevity.
3. Confidentiality and Professional Communication
Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism is a core condition of employment at Ustar STEM Lab LLC.
• All information related to the company’s operations, programs, finances, instructors, students, and parents is strictly confidential and must not be shared, copied, or disclosed to outside parties without prior written authorization from management.
• Negative comments, complaints, or personal opinions about the company, management, or colleagues must never be expressed in front of parents, students, or visitors. All communication with clients and families should remain professional, respectful, and solution-oriented.
• Employees must not share or post any confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information about the company, its students, parents, or staff on social media or in any public forum.
• A separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is required for all employees and
contractors to further protect company information.
• Any breach of confidentiality or unprofessional communication that damages the
company’s reputation or relationships will be subject to immediate review and may lead to termination of employment.
All employees are expected to exercise discretion, uphold professional integrity, and
represent the organization positively at all times.
4. Sick Leave and Attendance Notification
To maintain class coverage and ensure consistent communication regarding absences:
• Notify the management team as soon as possible if you are sick, and include the expected number of days off.
• If you are absent for more than one day, stay in communication with management (by text or email) and provide updates on your recovery and estimated return date as reasonably possible.
• Employees should not return to work without notifying management in advance to
confirm readiness and scheduling.
• If your recovery period changes, promptly inform management so class schedules can be adjusted.
• A doctor’s note or confirmation may be requested for extended absences.

Maintaining a clean, professional, and respectful workplace is essential to ensure safety, efficiency, and the high educational standards of Ustar STEM Lab LLC.
