Ustar Wordly Wise 3000 Trial Teaching Guide (internal use only)

(internal use only)

WW3000 starts each lesson with vocabulary words and their definitions.

It might appear boring to new students and leave the impression that teachers are merely reading along each word.

Follow along the steps below to improve signup rates:

  • Start your trial by presenting several questions from the practice parts of the book to discuss with students.

Example:

Allow each student to express their thoughts and follow up their answers with comments (this will be a great time to break the ice and get to know students more)

The discussion time should be limited to 10 minutes. Go back to the vocabulary words mentioned during the discussion part and invite students to explain/read the words’ definition

Example:

Ask students to write down their answers to the above questions in their notebook. Give them a one minute time limit for writing.

Give students a sneak peak of what the story is going to be and ask them to guess what the bold words mean based on context.

Example:

Add some visuals to make it fun: find pictures online to show students what a real alive octopus would look like.
