Holes Lesson 3: Students reviewed Irony, symbolism, and learned about foreshadowing and flashbacks and how they function in a story. We analyzed character development as a group and looked for all of these literary elements as we went over the homework questions and read the following chapters. Students understand these literary devices and will continue to look for them in dependently as they read.
