A Reassuring Grandmother

A good grandmother is always reassuring, just like mine. It’s almost like my grandmother has some kind of reassuring power, because every time she finishes reassuring me, I instantly feel a lot better.

Usually, my dad is the one bad-mouthing me and my grandma is the one trying to make me feel good about myself (Actually, I don’t get in trouble a lot).

For example, there was one time when I got busted for screaming at my sister. My grandma reassured me in every single way. She said that it wasn’t my fault and that my dad was overreacting, which was the truth.

My grandma doesn’t just reassure me, she also reassures my sister. An example would be that one time, my sister said that she wanted to die and my dad went CRAZY. That’s when my grandma stepped in and told my dad that she was just kidding. My sister greatly appreciated that.

One last example would be that one time, I slammed my door shut on accident and my dad did his thing. I decided to stay in my room after the whole misunderstanding. My grandma gently knocked on the door and she came in. She sat on my bed and she started a conversation. We talked and talked and talked and talked until dinner. After the whole conversation I was ready to go out.

Overall, my grandmother is a really reassuring person. Honestly, I think all grandmothers are like that.
