Course Details

ELA K-G1 total 5 modules. Each module has 20 lessons. Module 1 is for K-K Advanced, Module 2 is for Advanced-G1, Module 3 is for G1, Module 4 is for G1-G1 Advanced, Module 5 is for G1 Advanced.

GRAMMAR

★ Identifying and using nouns
Identifying nouns: circle the words which are a person, place or thing
Identifying nouns in sentences: read the sentences and circle the nouns
Using nouns: use nouns to complete the sentences
Writing sentences with nouns: identify nouns in your own sentences

★ Plural nouns
Identifying plural nouns: circle words there is “more than one”
Singular vs plural nouns: underline singular nouns, circle plural nouns
Writing plural nouns: add “s” or “es” to make nouns plural
Matching the verb: choose the noun that agrees with the verb

★ Proper nouns
Proper vs common nouns: write “common” or “proper” next to each noun
Capitals and proper nouns: use capital letters for proper nouns

★ Possessive nouns
Making a noun possessive: add apostrophe & “s” to make nouns possessive

★ Verbs for first grade

These worksheets introduce verbs as action words. Identifying and using verbs is emphasized, and the past, present & future tenses are considered.

Identifying verbs (from a list): circle the verbs in the word bank
Action verbs: write the action word from each sentence
Using verbs: use a verb to complete the sentence
Writing verbs: identify verbs and write sentences with them
Singular and plural verbs: choose the form of the verb which agrees with the noun

★ Past, present and future tenses
Past, present or future: Circle past, present or future for each sentence
Verbs ending in “ed”: Rewrite each verb in the past tense by adding “ed”
Verbs ending in “ing”: Rewrite each word with “is” or “are” plus “-ing”
Past and present tense: Match the past and present verbs

★ Adjectives for first grade
Identifying adjectives: circle the words in the list that are adjectives
Common adjectives: choose the adjective that describes the picture
Choosing adjectives: choose a different adjective for each picture

Using adjectives: complete the sentences with adjectives from the
word bank
Writing adjectives: add an adjective to each sentence
Writing sentences with adjectives: write your own full sentences with adjectives

★ Pronoun for first grade
Selecting pronouns: Match pronouns to nouns
Personal pronouns: Replace the noun in the sentence with a personal pronoun
Changing nouns to pronouns: Replace the nouns with pronouns from the word bank
Possessive pronouns: Use possessive pronouns (his, mine, …) to complete the sentences
Indefinite pronouns: Complete the sentences with indefinite pronouns (anybody, somebody ….)
