Description

Better Chinese series courses are for young learners with no prior exposure to Chinese. The courses are designed with the idea that young children learn best when the information given is relevant to their everyday lives, which makes learning fun and exciting.

The stories contain meaningful sentence structures, teaching students to communicate in full sentences as opposed to have them memorize individual characters. The series also use overlapping content and a predictable narrative structure to provide a springboard for creative role-playing and acting. This gives children the opportunity to quickly apply what they learn in real-life situations as well as start communicating in Chinese right away.

My First Chinese Words teaches over 150 words covering 22 topics from a child’s world, like family, friends, food, animals, home, school and more. Upon completion, students will recognize basic Chinese characters and sentence patterns.

Better Chinese以孩子最熟悉的生活情境为蓝本，自然而然地渗透了中文中常见的基本词汇和句式，让孩子在熟悉感兴趣的情境中学说中文。同时，该教材创设了多种游戏形式，让孩子在角色扮演，你说我画等游戏中学会运用中文，帮助孩子逐渐形成基本的中文思维。

Students, parents, and teachers can utilize Better Chinese Online Group Accounts to extend Chinese learning beyond the classroom. Students have a chance to review what they have learned in the classroom, and enjoy additional fun ways of learning Chinese, like our 1400+ animated stories, voice recorders, and writing pad. Parents can keep abreast of their students’ progress by following the teacher’s lesson plans. Teachers can monitor students’ progress, communicate with students via the message board, and assign homework or stories with a push of a button. The online resources correspond with our curricular series and overall, help students develop their literacy skills by creating an immersive context for language learning.

About the Teacher

Ms. Bella majors in Pre-school Education and Teaching Chinese for Foreigners. She has rich experience in teaching Chinese for children online, especially teaching children by playing interesting games to inspire their interest in Chinese, guiding them learning Chinese step by step.

Bella老师主修学前教育和对外汉语双学历。她有多年丰富的线上儿童汉语教学经验，尤其擅长运用游戏法教学，激发幼儿对汉语的兴趣，引导幼儿循序渐进地学习汉语。
