Maker Space
A hands-on course where students explore 3D printing, laser cutting, machining, and electronics to build real inventions and kickstart their journey as young makers.
Electronics & Fabrication – Basic Circuits
Students learn the basics of electricity, build real gadgets like fans and nightlights, and gain hands-on experience with soldering and tools to kickstart their journey in electronics and fabrication.
Airboat project
Students design, build, and race their own RC catamaran airboats while learning engineering, radio control systems, and hands-on tool skills in a fun and competitive environment.
Combat Robotics
Age 10+
Combat Robotics – Build & Battle Your Own Combat Robot!
Join Ustar Robotics’ Combat Robotics program and dive into the world of Robotic Combat! Learn structural design, materials science, and mechanical engineering while building your own battle-ready robot using polycarbonate armor and VEX VRC components. Under the guidance of an experienced former Prototype Engineer and BattleBots contestant, you’ll design, build, and test powerful weapon systems before competing in intense robot battles.
Mega Robots
Age 10+
Experience the thrill of robotics and engineering with Ustar Robotics’ Mega Robots program! This hands-on course lets students design, build, and drive their own fully functional robotic vehicles, exploring mechanical design, robotics, and large-scale problem-solving.
From engineering robotic attachments like grabber arms and Nerf blasters to navigating technical driving courses, students will develop hands-on fabrication skills and master precision control. With expert guidance, they’ll gain confidence in robotics, vehicle design, and real-world engineering challenges—all while having a blast!

STEM's Teachers
Ms. Samare
Samare Moazeni holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and has over a decade of experience as a STEM instructor, coach, and science curriculum developer. With a Site Supervisor/Teacher Permit from West Valley College, she is dedicated to fostering problem-solving skills in her students through open-ended questioning. Passionate about unlocking student potential, she earned her Board Cognitive Specialist Certificate from IBCCES. Currently, she serves as the Ustar Manager/STEM Teacher/Science Olympiad Coach at Ustar Cupertino.
Teacher Sara
Teacher Sara has a Bachelor of Science and Child Development certificate. She has experience working with various stages of teaching starting child level from pre-school, elementary school till college student. She is ready to get a Master Teacher California License from Commission teacher credentialing. Her specialty is teaching Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy, Game Design, Computer Programming such as Python and Java, and Robotic with the play-based method. She strives to make learning fun for children.
Teacher Payal
Mrs. Payal Gandhi, a Bachelor’s degree holder in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai, India, brings expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS. Currently enhancing her skills with advanced courses, she aspires to integrate her IT background and passion for robotics into her teaching methods, aiming to provide top-notch education in the field of robotics.
Coach Levi
Levi received his master degree from UC Berkeley with a concentration in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. His engineering fields lie in robotic vision and learning, and has completed various software projects based on mobile robots.
Teacher Parker
Parker obtained a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and a Master in Computer Science from UIUC. In the past he has worked on autonomous vehicles and swarm robotics. He currently works in cybersecurity, with a focus on creating AI applications. He enjoys teaching children about programming and advancing human robot interactions.
Mr. Wuyuan
Wuyuan Chen, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Engineering from UC Santa Cruz, boasts 5 years in software development for space and energy sectors. He tutored STEM subjects for 2 years at UC Santa Cruz and now merges his engineering expertise and teaching passion to impart practical learning experiences to children.
