Dive into the Thrilling World of Radio-Controlled Racing!
Join Ustar’s RC Catamaran Airboat class and experience the excitement of building and racing your very own RC airboat! This hands-on program blends engineering, creativity, and competition, giving students the chance to develop real technical skills while having a ton of fun. And yes—your boat is yours to keep!
Throughout the course, students will:
🚤 Build and Customize Their Airboats – Assemble the catamaran frame, install propulsion systems, and fine-tune for speed and stability.
🔧 Master Tool Skills – Work with soldering tools, superglue, CNC laser cutters, and other power tools.
📡 Explore Radio Control Systems – Learn how motors, servos, transmitters, and receivers work together.
🏁 Compete in Races – Put their creations to the test in head-to-head racing challenges and optimize performance through real-time feedback.
With expert instruction and a focus on hands-on learning, students will develop engineering knowledge, problem-solving skills, and confidence in designing functional remote-controlled machines. Join Ustar to build, race, and own your unique RC airboat!

Austin is a seasoned software engineer with 7+ years of experience, most recently at Meta. He brings a wealth of technical expertise and a deep passion for teaching the next generation of coders. Austin holds at Masters in Computer Science at Georgia Tech.
Mr. Richard
English / History Teacher
Teacher Richard earned his BA in English Language and Linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University in 2000. He has 10+ years teaching experience, taught English , science, history to students of all ages, from preschool to university to mature adult levels. Richard uses humor to promote a joyful and unselfconscious learning atmosphere. He understands that making mistakes and getting stuck are part of the learning process.

Ms. Samare holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and has over a decade of experience as a STEM instructor, coach, and science curriculum developer. With a Site Supervisor/Teacher Permit from West Valley College, she is dedicated to fostering problem-solving skills in her students through open-ended questioning. Passionate about unlocking student potential, she earned her Board Cognitive Specialist Certificate from IBCCES. Currently, she serves as the Ustar Manager/STEM Teacher/Science Olympiad Coach at Ustar Cupertino.

Teacher Eunice holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and brings her expertise to teaching Lego robotics and mathematics. She is passionate about working with young children and uses a hands-on, play-based approach to engage them in STEM subjects. Her goal is to make learning an enjoyable and enriching experience for all her students.

Chinese Teacher
Miss Nancy brings over 13 years of teaching experience, specializing in early childhood education and Chinese language instruction. As a Lead Teacher, she has taught engaging Chinese programs to preschoolers aged 3–5 and students from kindergarten to 6th grade, focusing on language fundamentals, sentence construction, and essay writing. She collaborates closely with parents and caregivers to support each child’s growth and development holistically.

Zahra Novin is an experienced science teacher with 9 years of experience in subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. She holds an MS degree in Nutrition Sciences and is experienced in health and nutrition education and research. She has taught students from different backgrounds and created engaging lessons that make learning exciting. She believes in providing high-quality teaching and helping students appreciate the natural world. Zahra focuses on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing her students for success. Zahra is committed to fostering a learning environment that encourages curiosity and a lifelong love for learning.

Ms. Susu graduated with a degree in Education major from East China Normal University, Shanghai where she specialized in Chinese language and literature.
Over the past 21 years, Her teaching experience includes working in Yew Chung International School Hong Kong and Wellington International School, where she developed a diverse range of teaching strategies to make learning Chinese engaging and accessible for all students.
She incorporated a variety of cultural activities, such as Chinese calligraphy, traditional festivals, and culinary experiences, into her lessons.
