Teacher Richard earned his BA in English Language and Linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University in 2000. He has 10+ years teaching experience, taught English , science, history to students of all ages, from preschool to university to mature adult levels. Mr. Larry has been teaching Public Speaking and Debate at all levels for 10 years. He has been named Best Teacher and was Director of Education for Gurus Education for three years. He is the owner of I SPEAK California and is the published author of “The Concept of Love.” Mr. Larry’s students have won top prizes in various tournaments. Mr. Larry has been featured in the Tri-City Voice newspaper and has appeared on I Heart Radio and various podcasts.

Blake Smith has been passionate about tennis since the age of 4, competing in Northern California and National tournaments through his teenage years. He began coaching in high school, working at a kids’ tennis camp in Palo Alto (2010–2014), and later coached at Mountain View Tennis (2019–2021). Since 2021, he has been a dedicated coach at XYTennis, where he thrives in a supportive community. Blake’s teaching focuses on positivity, simplicity, and fun, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals while maintaining an engaging and challenging environment. He continues to play tournaments, sharpening his skills to provide the best insights for his students. Blake is committed to helping players of all levels improve and enjoy the game.

Alec’s background ranges from Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Prototyping, to Technical Instruction and Curriculum Design. He has created car-sized Combat Robots for Comedy Central’s “BattleBots”, fabricated gear for Discovery Channel’s “Prototype This”, and designed test equipment for the Sunpower Corporation and Panasonic. In 2007 Alec changed gears (pun intended), and has since focused entirely on Early Technical Education.
