Ready to do some hands-on science experiments like Erupting Lemons and Exploding Baggies? In this session, we will focus on chemistry experiments like creating our own crystals, chromatography, polarity, acid-base reactions and much more. In each class, we will listen to a short story to give us more background knowledge and then dive into 3-4 experiments on that lesson. Most items you will find that you already have at your home, but I will send a detailed list for each experiment. Get ready for some fun and discovery(and maybe an explosion or two) as we observe simple items in your home as they react together.

About the teacher
Hi! My name is Ms. Nichole, and I love science. I received my B.S in Microbiology with a minor in chemistry in 2013 and my M.S in Early Childhood Education in 2015. I have been teaching in schools across the U.S. for seven years ranging from high school physics to my personal favorite and current position, kindergarten. I enjoy watching children as they explore and discover the world around them. I like hands on experiments that children can observe and manipulate on their own. When I’m not teaching, you can find me playing at the beach with my husband and daughter, Olive, and our pup Shiloh or practicing yoga.
